accelerated ocs
The National Guard Bureau (NGB) conducts an eight-week Accelerated OCS program for qualified personnel. This program is an intense course, conducted over 8 weeks, from June to August each year. At the successful completion of the course, you will be eligible for commissioning pending federal recognition.

Screening and indoctrination sessions occur during OCS IDT drills in the March-May period each year.

Training for candidates from Tennessee happen in 3 phases: Pre-Phase consists of 3 IDT periods (Apr-Jun) at the 117th RTI.  Phase 1 consist of 2 weeks during June at Ft. McClellan, AL.  Phase 2 consists of 4 weeks at Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA or Ft. McCellan, AL immediately after Phase 1 completion.  Phase 3 takes place at Ft. McClellan, Al and consists of 2 weeks.
