(2) 17 years of age, and DD Form 1966/4, section VII (Record of Military Processing Armed Forces of the United States) has been properly completed. The legal guardian (s) must sign to approve the enlistment and medical processing.

(1) 18 years of age and less than 42 years of age. NPS personnel enlisting under this policy must ship onto IADT on or before their 42nd birthday

(f) If an applicant has been made a ward of the court under state or Federal law, or has been placed in the control and custody of other than natural parents, then the agency or the court appointed custodial agency must sign for the applicant's processing and enlistment.

(g) Applicants who have been emancipated either by court order or who have neither parents nor guardians, may be processed for enlistment.

Waiver authority may not waive more than 1 year of qualifying service. Example: PS applicant is 46 years old with 2 years of qualifying service.  Applicant needs  1 more year of qualifying service. No age waivers are authorized.
