federal ocs (Officer Candidate School)

The Federal OCS Program is held throughout the year at Fort Benning, Georgia.  As in all of the OCS options, this 14- week program of instruction is designed to train and commission 2nd Lieutenants.  You will be challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally.  Here, you will learn the fundamentals of leadership and basic military skills, Army values and officership.

Prerequisites for federal ocs

• Minimum of 90 college credit hours from an accredited college
• Complete Basic Combat Training
• Be 18- 30 years old. Waiveable up to 35. Must be commissioned before age 40.
• Meet US Army Height / Weight standards
• Have an ASVAB GT score of 110 or better
• Must have a MEPS Chapter II Commissioning Physical or Class 1 Flight Physical conducted within 24 months of commissioning date.
• Civilian Background Check
• Must possess or applied for a Secret Security Clearance
